Suzanne Corona – Suzanne M. Corona of Batavia, N.Y., became only the 13th person in the history of New York to be charged with adultery after being literally caught in the act atop a picnic bench in the park.

Corona, 41, and her male companion that day, Justin Amend, 29, were both charged with public lewdness after witnesses called police to say the couple was having sex on a picnic table in Farrall Park around 5:15 p.m. Friday evening.

“I think it’s disgusting. I mean that’s totally wrong,” Danny Bastedo said of the incident that occurred just a few hundred feet from his back door.  “I mean 5 o’clock in the afternoon, come on? That’s crazy.”

Corona admits a sex act was occurring between her and Amend at that park; and she said she regrets what’s happened.

“Well, of course I do, [regret it] it’s a terrible situation that occurred,” Corona said.  “I feel terrible for the mothers that are offended.”

According to court papers she told an officer after her arrest: “Officer I know what I did was inappropriate and I apologize but you’d understand if you knew what my life was like.  I have a transgender husband and we never have sex.  One thing led to another.”

“I think the adultery charge is extremely unfair and uncalled for,” Suzanne Corona said.  “My husband is standing beside me and he called the D.A. himself this morning, and he wants it dropped.”

“I forgive her fully and I wish that the charges were dropped and that we can resolve this as man and wife, this is more of a private matter,” Joseph Corona told reporters.  “The police didn’t even tell me what the charges were, and if they consider me a victim.”
