The Arizona State cheerleaders pictured above in their underwear were disappointed that the ASU cheerleading squad was being disbanded over a few photos taken two years ago at a cheer party.

After racy photos of members of the university’s cheerleading squad wearing only bras and panties were spotted on a blog called “The Dirty,” the school cut the squad completely, replacing it with some inane group called “Sparky’s Crew”.

Lisa Love, the school’s athletic director, made the decision Thursday. The pictures on “TheDirty” blog feature six cheerleaders posing in nothing but their bras and panties, which is really nothing different than the Arizona State cheerleaders wearing bikinis.

Although only six members of the squad are shown in the racy photographs, the entire ASU cheerleading squad will suffer the consequences and that’s a shame because these are some hot cheerleaders.

Arizona State had another cheerleading scandal back in 2005 when cheerleader Courtney Cox, pictured below, left the squad and went into the movie business.

Seems like there is a bit of the old double standard being applied to the 2008 ASU cheerleading squad because their pictures are nowhere near as hot.
